  • We want our patients to take their medicines correctly.
  • We want them to complete the treatment as prescribed.
  • It is our goal to make sure there are no mistakes in doses.
  • We avoid problems with medicine handling.
  • Everything is clear to patients and confusions are avoided.
  • Patients have better control over the process.

Progrés staff are committed to promoting rational and sensible medicine use.

More info

WHAT IS OUR PILL BOX LIKE?

It is a bubble pack with pre-formed sockets where pills go.

It is disposable.

It is standardised and certified by the manufacturer.

It includes personalised labelling:

  • patient´s personal date
  • pharmacy´s data
  • contents i.e. medicines along with their dosage.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

The process of preparing is closely supervised by a pharmacist, complying with the security and quality protocol.

WHO SHOULD USE OUR PDS?

  • People who have problems with medicine organisation and identification.
  • Elderly people who live on their own.
  • Patients with polypharmacy i.e. those who take 4-5 different medicines a day.
  • Patients with chronic and memory affecting diseases.
  • People with reduced autonomy.
  • Patients who live in nursing homes.
  • Carers or family members of patients with polypharmacy. PDS is a great help for them since they don´t have to worry about daily medicine preparation anymore.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN BENEFITS?

  • It makes it much easier to go through the treatment.
  • It reduces significantly any potential mistakes during the treatment.
  • Thanks to PDS, storage and handling problems are avoided.
  • It reduces the risk of involuntary intoxication or confusion.
  • It is a great help to carers and patients´ families.
  • Pharmacists look over the whole medication and in case of any discrepancies they consult patient´s doctor.
